Privacy Policy
Last updated: August, 2026.
ClipPocket processes video URLs and requested output settings so the service can create downloadable media files. We keep the minimum operational data required to run the service, prevent abuse, enforce quotas, improve reliability, and comply with lawful requests.
We may record account identifiers, session identifiers, IP address, browser/user-agent hash, request time, source domain, requested format, conversion status, download activity, country/city derived from GeoIP, and security or rate-limit events. Raw IP addresses are used for security, quota enforcement, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and country-level analytics. They are not intended to be used as an advertising-personalization key by ClipPocket.
Cookies and consent
Essential cookies are used for sign-in sessions, CSRF protection, security, and application operation. ClipPocket also uses Google Analytics for measurement, reliability, traffic analysis, product analytics, and service improvement. Advertising personalization is treated separately from essential operation. The M5.2 monetization-readiness release does not load live third-party advertising code; any future live advertising activation will require a separate deployment review and the applicable consent controls.
Analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics to understand page usage, device/browser characteristics, approximate location, referral sources, signed-in versus guest usage patterns, errors, conversion/download workflow performance, and service reliability. Google Analytics may set or read cookies and collect identifiers and technical information according to Google's services and your Google/account settings. ClipPocket is preparing clearly separated advertising placements, but M5.2 does not make live advertising-network requests. Before live advertising is enabled, this notice and the active consent experience will be reviewed against the selected advertising provider, serving mode, and applicable regional requirements. If live advertising is later activated, third-party providers may use cookies, web beacons, device information, IP addresses, or other identifiers for ad serving, measurement, fraud prevention, frequency controls, or personalization as disclosed at that time.
User-ID and user-provided data
If ClipPocket sends a User-ID to analytics tools, it will use an internal non-PII account identifier rather than your email address, display name, IP address, or other directly identifying text. ClipPocket does not intentionally send raw email addresses, phone numbers, names, or similar user-provided personal data to Google Analytics from this frontend.
Retention
Converted files and related conversion records may be retained for up to 90 days from the request timestamp to improve performance and avoid repeated processing. We may delete files earlier for legal, security, operational, or storage reasons. Operational logs, audit events, abuse events, and backup copies may follow separate retention schedules.
Legal and copyright responsibility
Users are responsible for ensuring they have the right to access, convert, download, and use any content submitted to ClipPocket. We may block requests, remove files, restrict accounts, or cooperate with lawful takedown/security requests where appropriate.
Contact and takedown requests
For privacy, abuse, copyright, or takedown matters, contact the site operator using the public support channel published on ClipPocket. Include enough information to identify the request, URL, or file involved.
