Online media converter frequently asked questions
Practical answers about MP3 and MP4 output, quality choices, privacy, retention, accounts, and responsible use.
What does ClipPocket do?
ClipPocket converts supported media URLs into requested MP4 video or MP3 audio outputs, subject to source availability, service limits, and lawful-use requirements.
Which media links are supported?
ClipPocket accepts links from supported media services. Availability can change when source services change their delivery methods or when operational, security, or legal requirements change.
Which output qualities are available?
MP4 output can be requested at 480p, 720p, or 1080p, subject to the available source quality. MP3 output can be requested at 144, 196, 240, or 320 kbps.
How long are files kept?
Converted files and related records may be retained for up to 90 days from the request timestamp. Files may be removed earlier for storage, legal, security, or operational reasons.
Do I need an account?
Some features may be usable anonymously with stricter quotas. Authenticated users may receive higher limits and better history and session handling.
Why do you log IP addresses?
IP addresses help enforce quotas, detect abuse, protect accounts, identify country-level activity, troubleshoot issues, secure the public service, and support aggregate analytics.
How does consent work?
Essential cookies are required for security and sessions. Google Analytics is used for service measurement, reliability, traffic analysis, and product analytics. M5.2 only prepares advertising placements and controls; it does not load live advertising code. Before live ads are enabled, ClipPocket will use the applicable advertising consent flow and keep ad personalization separate from essential service operation.
Does ClipPocket use Google Analytics?
Yes. Google Analytics helps measure page usage, traffic sources, approximate location, reliability, and conversion workflow performance. ClipPocket does not intentionally send raw email addresses, names, phone numbers, or IP addresses as Analytics User-ID values.
Can I convert any content?
No. You are responsible for making sure you have the legal right to access, convert, download, and use the content.
